Hands down no question about it. I get that people like the scenery and the ocean, but it has got to be the most overrated city in this state. From expensive cost of living to the homeless and crime problem, who would want to raise a family there. And quite frankly, the skyline only looks good with the ocean as a backdrop. The street level view is far from inspiring and aside from the real nice victorians, everything seems wrong to me. What does SF offer a regular family that anywhere else near the water cant. I don't hate SF I just hate the attitude of posters from there thinking their ish don't stink. If you have never been to Cali and want to vacation with family, SF is the least family friendly city in the state. You are better off anywhere else in California with your precious loved ones than SF. And they wonder why all their sports teams want to build a stadium elsewhere.

San Francisco might be overrated on some levels, sure...

On the other hand a city like Fresno is rated pretty accurately--as it's not rated highly by anyone at all--for any desirable qualities whatsoever.

San Francisco is a postcard beauty. On the street level it is one of the ugliest places in California, it's best viewed from a distance. I knew they had a Chinatown but wow! Can anyone say......homeless? Having a normal job like being a nurse must suck there due to the lack of natural reproduction. Oh, and your crime is outrageous. Some people like to do normal things in life.

Sort of exaggerated.

SF is good for visiting. It's good for living if you are rich. If you are middle class or lower, it's sheer h___.

I like the intricate things in life like taking the kids out the lake or raking the leaves off my yard early in the morning. That's all I'm saying.

You have a point about the homeless. And yes, I also agree about San Francisco's "we're superior" attitude. I've experienced it myself first hand. However, it's my understanding that the crime rate in Fresno is a lot worse than in SF. You're starting to sound like a troll.
