Hi,

I'm planning to go to San Francisco for 2 months and need some advice about which area to stay in that's not overly expensive and quite convenient to get to the Bay Area and Silicon Valley.

Would love to hear some people's opinions and advice.

Thanks for your help

Well, most really smart people have limited free time & have learned to expend their energy carefully, so if you're looking for truly helpful responses, how about explaining your needs better than two sentences?

For example, "not overly expensive" isn't helpful, nor is "quite convenient."

Default Edit/Update

Based on the replies which I received I'll try to make it a bit more specific and relevant.

My main motive to move to San Francisco is to try to network and maybe find a job or continue with my startup. I was thinking of going to networking events etc, which I assume would be held in SF city itself or maybe surrounding Palo Alto areas.

I've been talking to a few friends and they have recommended either at Peninsula or Mountain View as they are not too expensive.

I've also had a look at AirBnB and got a rough number of about $2000-3000 per month on rent. Is this on the high-end, low-end or about right for these areas?

Another advice I received as being near the BART or CalTrain lines to be more convenient as the public transport in SF is not that great.

Thanks for everyone's input so far
