This is a legit question I just was thinking if you live in the city as in like the Downtown/SOMA/Financial District areas and you own a dog how do you take them to poop if there's just concrete around without any grassy areas..I would really like to know before making my move out there with my dog?

My dog lived in the country for the first six years of his. Roaming free, never on a leash. He would poop in the woods and I never saw him do it.
We migrated to the Bay Area driving across country he had to learn how to poop while on leash and he adjusted. Perfectly content now to take care of business while walking around Oakland with me. Did not seem a problem but, I'll bet he preferred going in the woods.

You have to find a place near a small park or grassy patch. My dog refuses to poop on concrete.

No matter what the surface is, you WILL pick it up unless you want to be thought of as a barbarian.

I thank you for your response. I will try my absolute best to find a park or grassy patch. Dogs can be very particular about their poop spots which is annoying..lol.

I thank you for your response. This is basically my situation right here. I have been traveling and moving everywhere but have been in the backwoods a majority of my time and I just fret that when I do make my move out there he won't poop and I will come home and see poop everywhere..I will just freak.

How big is your dog? Another option is to order a real grass patch and keep it in your place. You can buy it online or buy it from home depot for a fraction of the price.

Most of the poop on the streets of SF isn't from dogs.
