Advice please - we have friends coming in from out of town, and would like to avoid the trek up to Napa, can anyone recommend local wineries/wine tours?

I'm not into wine and wineries but this page looks helpful.

Wineries Corralitos

A fun trip is to visit the wineries in Corralitos . . .Freedom Blvd. exit from Highway 1, then left onto Hames Rd., follow signs . . . before or after, visit LaSelva Beach (quaint beach town, great views) Mar Monte or San Andreas exit.

Soquel Winery makes a good Chardonnay. Bargetto's good for a red or two. On some weekends they fire up the oven outside and make pizza at Soquel. Definitely worth a stop when they do that.

On Swift St. (off of Mission) there are a bunch of wineries that have tasting rooms, and the food at the Bonny Doon Vineyard's Cellar Door is quite good.

There's Alfaro's over in Corralitos; and actually, very good wine is Sante Arcengeli, you take Kennedy Dr. off of the Park Ave. exit from the 1... Very good wine, grapes were picked at a vineyard right next to my parent's.

The first link I posted is good, but it is not JUST Corralitos. I think Corralitos is a fun trip for tourists . . .be sure to stop at the market and pick up some famous sausage . . .

Here is the Corralitos Wine Trail . . . ignore the dates . . . just note the trail . . .

Thanks to all who replied! We were ultra lazy and ended up on the Los Gatos Wine trail - and hit 2 wineries - Testarossa and Savannah Chanelle. Of the 2 we liked Savannah Chanelle best, very low key and scenic. It was really busy this weekend with it being wine passport weekend.
