Hello,
I've recently relocated to Englewood, FL and I have 3 dogs. I have been to the dog parks in the area as well as the dog beach (Venice, etc.). Cn any fellow dog lovers recommend a spot where I can let my dogs run free/offleash (other then the DogPark)? Any private areas/ parks/ etc. that are dog friendly? I'm originally from the MidWest and have had a hard time adjusting to the "no dogs" in city parks. Any info would be appreciated!

i am not aware of any place but the dog park in venice. the reason i am told the beaches are all off limit is due to people not cleaning up after their dogs and letting them disturb turtle nests. so for a few we all suffer.

You also have Woodmere Paw Park in Venice. It's many acres and is all fenced. You can let your dogs roam free there and they have a little and big dog section.

There's a dog park on San Casa right next to the Humane Society. There are separate spaces for big and small dogs.

In Charlotte County you can take your dogs off leash at Oyster Creek and Edgewater Park. See this link for more details.
