Hi,
A friend of mine's mother is looking for the grey corned beef in the Bradenton area, but isn't having much luck.
Anyone know of a place where she can purchase it?
Thank you.

I believe she only tried places like Winn Dixie and Publix, but I'll pass that one on.
Thanks

Grey corned beef is what us older Boston area Irish were served on St. Patrick's Day.
It's brownish grey in color and is more tender and tasty than the NY "red" corned beef.
This link says it all.

"Joke.......Bad meat". Have I ever lied to you guys before.
Actually, if you ever get a chance you have to try a grey
corned beef dinner. The leftovers taste even better the next day or so.
My better half cooks(boils) the meat with cabbage, carrots, potatoes,
onions, turnip, a few basic spices, and adds a bottle of Guiness beer
to the water. I'm having mine next Sunday.
The Chop Shop make their own corned beef, but not the kind I'm looking
for. I'll try Ehmer's tomorrow.
Thanks again.
