And that's not the worst of it. The drug companies are ridiculous in the exorbitant markups they charge as soon as a big time disease is involved. Seems to me like all drug monopolies should be abolished and opened up to anyone who could manufacture them with quality. Make it an open marketplace with competition and I bet you'd see those costs fall drastically.

Outrageous bill, no doubt. What happened to your out of pocket insurance maximum?
You had to have way surpassed that and not been dinged with a $47k bill.
