Interesting website, found it from the Renting forum.

Walk Score - Helping homebuyers, renters, and real estate agents find houses and apartments in great neighborhoods.

This is for my address...but you could change it.

Great site. I was disappointed with my walk score, since I think of my location as just about perfect for getting to everything I need, but then I do use my bike a lot. Your location has a terrific walk score. Do you find that you walk or bike to do your errands?

I don't know HOW to ride a bike--never learned. I walk.

Oh...and I've used the bus--we have public transportation.

But I can walk most of the places that I have to go! (But not the post office).

I've seen that site too, but it is cool. My current home is not very walkable, but is nice to get out and walk my dog. There are no sidewalks in my current neighborhood, but then again, there isn't much traffic either. There are a lot of hills too. When I walk, there are usually a lot of people out and about though. From here though, you're not going to walk to pick up a news paper, or get a cup of coffee. They used to make the neighborhood kids walk to school, rather than sending a school bus to pick them up. The school is just over a mile away. Thus the kids in our neighborhood were/are in good shape.

Wow! That is pretty cool--even though my neighborhood didn't score very well

I appreciate this because in Tampa the walking is bad and I walk everywhere. Terrible!

Our address in Lakeland score is 77 - "very walkable." But of course I already knew that - heck Publix is ACROSS THE STREET as well as restaurants and almost anything you could want within less than a mile.

Unfortunately the address we are moving to is considered not very walkable.

My walk score was an 86.

Cool Site; now if only my new shoes which are supposed to be supportive of my feet would not be doing the rub battle with my heels.
