Did the problems continue after the mold remediation work? Maybe you had one problem after another. That would be sad! - - It's sad anyway.
Has the move helped them much?

Once a person, either young children and/or people with allergies/immunology issues are exposed to toxic mold, the "sick" door has been opened.

Out west, where it's dry (vs. FL humidity), everyone's doing much better. Once again, it's not perfect there either...spores & other kinds of mold exist, too....

Shares of Lennar (LEN) down 18.6% after revealing they are being sued over Chinese drywall. 8-K/A

And so the litigation begins.

These companies should be responsible for fixing this problem. I understand that they had to look elsewhere for the drywall due to the shortage of it during the boom, but they also liked the fact that it cost 1/3 of what they were use to paying. So now, I feel that those families that have been involved in buying a home built with this toxic crap should be compensated for it. What about the health problems that this may cause years down the road for those that have lived in these homes for a few years. If this stuff can corrode electrical outlets and coils inside AC units and eat through walls, I can only imagine what it is doing to the insides of those people living in it. What a terrible situation!!

This appears to be a nightmare that is only beginning to show it's potential.

Let's hope those builders who were presented with the option of buying this stuff and taking a pass can distance themselves from those like Lennar and others who focused on that 33% less in costs. Here's an idea, as a population lets start to question what is served up before us, especially from China. I'm not a xenophobic isolationist but this is over the top.

There was an article in the paper this morning about the Chinese drywall. Apparently there's a class action lawsuit against Lennar. Some of the hardest hit communities are Stoneybrook in Venice and Lakewood Ranch, mostly Greenbriar and Summerfield.

"Independent government organizations have determined that exposure to the gases emitted by the drywall does not present any danger to human health."

I thought this quote was interesting. Lennar said that gases emitted by drywall does not present a health risk, yet it turns copper wire black, tarnishes metal studs, and smells like raw sewage. Maybe they should hang out in one of the homes affected for a few weeks.

I know you don't think that any of those independent government organizations had reps that actually spent the night in one of those affected homes or lives in one...just CYA litigation denial of responsibility since it had to be approved by Customs and under trade agreements as non-toxic to be imported...

remember the scene in Erin Brockovitch where the PG&E attorneys are offered water that supposedly comes from the Hinkley wells...dead solid perfect giveaway that they know what happens to anyone coming in contact with that "purified" water...

just offer free to any govt agency/employee/attorney one of these homes in contention with the stipulation that they have to actually live in for a month...

For anyone who didn't read the article, Lennar made that false claim in quotes by SoFLGal, to it's shareholders.

Senator Nelsen corrected them in the article as well. The truth is, Independent State testing so far is inconclusive. The only thing they have determined so far are the toxic chemicals found in this drywall. They still have a lot of research and testing to do they say.

Lennar was spewing unfounded BS to it's share holders.
