SuperShuttle in the Twin Cities was around $20 but SuperShuttle from the address of the car place to the airport was $112 according to the website. Perhaps it was an error? That seems like a lot for a 25 mile drive. I will try calling them.

Poopskooper; I was able to see your edits. I just did not notice them until you pointed them out. It seems like my best bet is still to drop off the 2 checked luggage first, then drop off my car, then walk the 1.8 miles to the bus with my 2 carry ons, and take the bus to the airport. If SuperShuttle was only $20 like it was here, I might spend the extra cash for the convenience.

I agree.

I just put in your parameters into the Shuttle Express estimator and it came to $35 for a shared ride from DT Tacoma.

Call them to inquire or confirm before making a decision.

Shuttle Express

Reservations: (425)-981-7000

If you have a chance, report back when you get to the Islands and let us know how it went.

It seems strange that places like Shuttle Express and SuperShuttle do not seem to recognize the address for the car place (zip code does not match anything in their data system). HORIZON LINES 1675 Lincoln Avenue, Building 200 Tacoma, WA 98424

Maybe that is why Super Shuttle was so expensive?

I will definitely check back on here once I am settled over on Maui and let everyone know how the shuttle did.

I just came across an old receipt for Super Shuttle in the Twin Cities and it was $27. However, $35 is still fair.

The $35 was a rough estimate as I didn't put in the actual address and I specified four bags pertaining to luggage.

The shipping company is within a few miles of downtown Tacoma so I'm thinking it will be close to the estimate. May be a bit more since it's not right in the downtown area. But the number of bags may be less if two are carry-ons so that may lower it a bit?

Again, probably should call them to confirm.

I used the Shuttle Express shared ride a few years ago for a trip to Hawaii. It caused some stress, since we always like to get at the airport two hours before with all of the security time. The stopped several other places along the way to pick up other people, some way off of the main roads. We ended up getting there a little over an hour before flight time, luckily it was 6:30AM so security went fast.

Most of the flights I am looking at are around 6:20pm. I wonder if Shuttle Express gets people to the airport more than an hour prior to the flight for busier times like that. I will update everyone soon with which method I choose and how it goes.

In case it matters to anyone on here, the zip code was wrong. It is really 98421. $38 for Shuttle Express vs $28.75 for Aeroporter. I will likely go with the second option as it is the cheaper of the two. Other options like the city bus require walking or dropping off luggage at the airport first so I will avoid those. SuperShuttle really is $112 with the correct zip code even. That is strange why it is so high. Capital Aeroporter Airport Shuttle | Share Ride Service to SEA-TAC Airport | Seattle Cruise Transfers is the website.
