Most would also say that I hold beliefs from the stone age since I am not really a fan of what I believe is weird behavior (lots of tattoos, piercings, long grungy hair, same sex marriage, polygamy, etc.). For the most part, people leave me alone unless the topic comes up and someone asks "what do you think?" and then I actually tell them and they get astonished because "you seem so kick back and cool..."

In any case, I was less a fan of the fake culture of CA so I like it here and the stuff I did like about CA is also well supported here (kale smoothies, composting, etc.).

But I get why most people don't like California transplants here. For the most part, we come here for tech jobs, drive up the cost of housing, demand more organic food, change the overall culture of the city, etc. It's kind of like why most foreigners don't like Americans when we visit their countries...we show up all loud and fat and walk around like we own the place by spending money and expecting everything there to work like it does in the US.

Oh well...c'est la vie.
You are " kick back and cool" even if we don't see eye to eye politically, but...kale smoothies? I'd sooner like Rand Paul than I'd like a kale smoothie. Well, at least they're better than kale chips.
