Could someone tell me more about Quadrant Homes, or point me to a website that has more detail on their shoddy building? My mom bought one of heir homes in a brand-new development in 2006, and the minute I stepped inside, I knew it was built like a crackerbox. She has been trying to steer my husband and I away from buying an older home (pre-WWII, usually more like 1920s) in Seattle, saying that we would regret the repairs... but frankly, I'm just waiting for a crop of issues to develop in her "new" home. Having some proof of the shoddy workmanship in print to show her would be very helpful for this discussion, thank you!

Thanks for your response, Ira500--I sent the links to my mom, and while she agrees that the builder was not great, she still seems to be satisfied with her home. No health problems to speak of, though several things stopped working within a short time of occupying the home (doorbell broke, gas oven broke, etc). I hope she'll be able to sell it when the time comes--several houses in her neighborhood have already gone on the market, so who knows what's wrong with those places.
