Forget the gas! Look at retail prices. Since gas started rising I watch an item I buy rise from $1.60 to $2.08 and when gas went down the price stayed the same. A meat product I was paying $4.99 went to $5.99 and when gas went down they increased it to $6.99.
Government, what government, you mean the Bush boys who are busy pardoning criminals and lining the pockets of their friends. The only thing that Bush succeeded in was to make the rich richer and the poor a whole lot poorer.

How does the government have anything to do with the price of your "meat product"?

Some people just have to connect everything bad to Bush. I sincerely hope that you're consciously doing that, because if you truly believe that everything bad in your life is because of Bush, your head's going to explode when Obama takes office and your life is just as screwed up as before.

Here in the DFW area, prices are decreasing. The lowest I have seen so far around here is $1.27.

Here is a website that has gas prices by city:

GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada

I do wonder why the price of gas is going down, but not the price of groceries or the 'fuel surcharge' on airflights. Food producers were quick to raise the prices of food because of rising fuel costs...

Ya I know..I definitely figured the price of airline tickets would go down drastically, but they really ahven't gone down much at all. And they still have all those extra fees.

I don't know. In my area, food/consumer commodities prices seemed to stay at the same general level until gas hit >$4, and diesel >$5. I'd have to guess that the merchants are now trying to recoup some of the lost profit margin that they ate while they were trying to ride out the fuel price spike. Also, i don't believe(i could be wrong though) that diesel fuel prices have come down proportionate to the decrease in gasoline prices. The "industries" use diesel, of course.
