Wow.....what happened to all the CRT TVs we all grew up with ? I went into Walmart looking for a cheap 20 inch Emerson flatscreen & they don't sell the old tube TVs anywhere. Lol, I guess I don't like change, but I'm surprised that they all seem to be off the market. Anyone know where to still get them....thanks

Check eBay, the classifieds in your area or Goodwill.

They are so dependable. Plug it in....and it lasts 15 years. About a year and a half ago I picked up a 20 inch Emerson flatscreen tube TV for $99. I love it. So I figured I would go get another one but, lol, they are gone. These LCD TVs don't last 5 years from what I hear and would cost me at least double the price of a CRT.

I have an old possibly 20 inch magnavox (when I think they were their own company pre-Philips). Made in 1985. Beautiful picture. Still goin strong.

I have a 21" Magnavox that was given to me by my grandmother in 1990-ish; it was working up until a year ago. It could be fixed for about $20, as this same part has gone out before (due to lightning), I just haven't needed to. It still had a great picture though, and even uses an IR remote control.

The television in my son's room is from the early '80's, and is still running like a champ, and my bedroom TV is a tube TV that's around 5 years old. Only my living room TV is high-def LCD.
