Does anyone remember the seafood restaurant in Shreveport or maybe Bossier in the late 60's that was rated as one of the top seafood restaurants in the town. My friend's father took us there for dinner, then onto the Jimi Hendrix Concert and later, with permission for us to get in (my friend's dad knew the owner) since we were underage, we were allowed into Saks Whisk A Go Go just long enough for a coke. Then we had to go. For some reason, I think the restaurant's name started with an "S".

Well, let's see now. We had Don's, Abe's, Monsour's (downtown), Smith's Cross Lake Inn, Worm's Hilltop House, Vic's in Cedar Grove, Triple X on Greenwood Road. Does any of that ring a bell?

Are you thinking Sansone's? They had seafood but also had a lot of other items as it was more "Continental Cuisine" as it was billed back then.

OMG, what a trip down Memory Lane. I remember eating at Abe's many times in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's. I grew up in Shreveport and moved in 1972. I remember Whiski-A-Go-Go well in Bossier City. Great place to go and dance. They were not good at checking IDs in the 60s and early 70s. There was a cover charge and you exchanged the tickets you were given when paying the cover for your first drinks.
