They're showing the Olympics on like 10 different channels. They have dedicated channels for certain sports. I think it's pretty good. Kudos to Comcast.

The other NBC channels -- NBCSports, MSNBC etc. -- are doing a fine job because they're showing the events live and in one chunk. And how much fun was it to hear Mike Emrick calling a water polo match?

Not so the mother ship, which skips from event A to event B and back to event A and to event C ... ad nauseam. Oh, yeah, and don't forget the stupid celebrity interviews (do I really care what Shaun White has to say about the Summer Olympics?) and feature stories about some athlete's wack job parents.

This may help:

NBC is taking some heat for not showing the 100m dash until 11:15 pm last night. Rightfully so. The event could have been shown live at 4:50 pm. They should have shown it live and the done a replay later on. It's not like the event takes up a lot of time.

Are they ever going to show the 1500 men's final? I should give up now & go to bed. I know that a U.S. runner (Manzano) came in silver. They said about 45 minutes ago that it was coming up next & they keep showing more gymnastics. I can't understand why they don't show more finals events. Instead they show heat after heat of events like the women's 200 semi final.

What I do not like is how when trying to watch the events online, many websites are blocked for showing in the US. Ridiculous the censorship allowed over this.

I find the commentators on the BBC much better as well. No silly "drama" montages either, well none that I've seen.

The BBC would be OK if they would all just lose that fakey British accent.
