We will be stopping by for a day and staying the evening. Any recommendations on must-eat restaurants or things to do?

Can you be more specific about what part of St Louis you will be visiting? And will children be part of your visit? That information would help a lot.

Really depends on what kinds of things you like and what your budget would be? Looking for something fancy or more casual?

Default One day in St. Louis

If I had just one day in St. Louis, I would spend the morning going up in the Arch, the afternoon at the Botanical Garden, and the evening eating in a restaurant on the Hill, I would select a tapas restaurant called Modesto; however, if I really liked Italian food, I would select another restaurant in the Hill area--there are many good ones there at different price points.

We will be staying by the Butler Hill Village Shopping Center off I-55, but we can go anywhere in St. Louis. No children.. just my husband and I.

If you're into BBQ, try Pappy's in Midtown.

We will definitely see the Arch, but going up it looks really scary to me!

The Botanical Gardens sounds lovely! What about the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site? I really like history so that sounds interesting to me, but I just want to make sure it's worth it since we won't be in St. Louis for very long.
