goodvedderbest - I was wondering about those cheers been hearing from that left ear!

postermom - you have nerves! Don't like to dislike something like this, but gosh durn do I dislike the Dead Things... Even all the other teams that I've grumbled about, at least they are fun rivalries [like tonight's game w/ the Black Chickens - well, used to be a very decent rivalry, but kinda lost steam of late I think?]. Anyhow, do you get to any games there, wearing the 'note, and get much flack from the locals?

So, has anyone come up w/ a decent [aka 'printable'] name for the new mascot?

Nevertheless, love that record so far! And to have beat the Nordiques, errrr,,, Avalanche, 4 to 1? Wow! And one thing [yes, way too early in the season, but still,,,] I do like how our GA is tied for 2nd best so far - great defense; keep that solid, and then up the offense, and might have a very interesting run this year.

So I went out to the Blues website to submit my idea for the mascot name, and all they have are pre-determined names out there! I think he should be "Treble" to go along with the "note". "Here comes TREBLE!". Okay, corny, I know... my family is oh so embarrassed when I threaten to call the front office with it. But heck, it beats some of the other ideas out there...

lol - I love that, yea cornyish, but yet quite fitting... "Treble" FWIW, I voted Buble - something different... however, curious why that is there - as there is a Michael Bublé that is a semi-famous singer/actor [esp. in Canada], and a hockey fan, from what I gather?

Beat the ChickenHawks 3-1, and their only goal was a fluke. Legace almost had a SO!

The BlackDucks' Williams' power-play goal made it 2-1 with 6:20 left in the period. His shot bounced off the back boards and landed on top of the St. Louis net. The puck rolled back over the crossbar and crossed the goal line before Legace knocked it out.

Play continued for another 1:08 before the next whistle. During the stoppage, referee Dan O'Halloran asked the NHL office in Toronto to review the play. After the goal was awarded, the clock was rolled back to the time the puck went in at 13:40.

Four game winning streak baby!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Here be some photos of game couple weekends ago... Was first NHL game for my mom [who has been big supporter/fan of the team since inception], and for the sons of shadow [they've been to minor league games before] - all three were tickled pink...

Overall, good game - except for losing and the boys in Blue playing kinda flat footed, and making terrible passes, and missing the puck when trying to shoot, and ...

Awesome pics Shadow!!! Good for Mom! Nothing like seeing it live. I'm in the doghouse right now because I made hubby forgo tomorrow nights game in lieu of a party - he had great tickets and everything. He missed last Sat's game for another party I made him attend! What's a girl to do... 'tis the season for parties! The win over the Wild was awesome. Legace is absolutely amazing. So far a great year.

I like the way the Blues built their team, slowly and steadily through the farm system, instead of going for the expensive quick fix.
