Hello- I live in Waterloo. I have a very bright, soon to be 4 year old son and I feel that I should be looking for private schools for him in St. Louis. I don't even know where to start and I would appreciate some reccomendations, preferrably in the south county area. Thanks

Well, you're in the right city! Are you looking for an independent school? Religiously affiliated? Does price matter?

I don't know much about South County but my friend has her daughter at Oak Hill/Villa and loves it. MICDS has a lower school as well.

Price doesn't matter, would prefer protestant affilation, but not required.

Default Has Anyone Heart of PCA School?

Hello Again- Has anyone heard of providence christian acadamy on Lindberg?? Also, my son was born on Sept 28, 2004. He is very bright (I'm sure every parent says that about their child) but he can count to 100, knows colors, uses big words, I won't bore everyone with the details. I would like to hear opinions on whether or not I should start him in Kindergarden a year early or if I should wait until he is almost 6 years old.- Thanks

Most schools here have an Aug. 1 or Sept. 1 cut off for kindgergarten (age 5), meaning you won't be able to enroll him until 2010. As a teacher, I don't know of any districts that would allow for an early enrollment. I would try and find a excellent preschool or montessori school for before then. My son attends school in south city, so can't help you out with schools in the county. Can I ask why you're not considering the schools (public or private) near you?
