Default Fun things for a 4 yr old - St Louis/Metro-East

I'm taking my godson out for a day for his 4th birthday in a couple weeks. I'm a little out of touch with what is available in the St. Louis/Metro-East that someone his age would enjoy doing. He has been to the Zoo and City Museum several times so I was looking for something different. Any suggestions?

I'm guessing you mean "Metro-East" to mean the city of St. Louis? First time I read that, I was thinking you were looking for fun things in East St. Louis for a 4-year old.

Metro East Includes Clinton, Jersey, Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair counties. It's not the city of St. Louis or just E. St. Louis. And thereAre many things to do in our neck of the woods, like going to Caryle Lake Beach or Horseback riding at Pere Marquette.

Yes, friend, metro-east includes multiple counties - any counties that are considered the metro area and to the EAST of St Louis, in fact. Believe it or not, there is a lot more non-ghetto than ghetto on the east side. Fairview Heights, O'Fallon, Belleville, etc, could have plenty of things to do.

In Missouri, there is Grant's Farm & the Magic House as mentioned above. The Science Center is a bit of a bore for me, but that's because I've been going there since second grade and unfortunately it hasn't changed since then.

Forgive me. All I really know is West of the Mississippi. Only time I have gone east of it (in regards to the Missouri-Illinois area) was when traveling to Chicago or Tennessee. Thought the "Metro St. Louis" was simply STL city, city-burbs, south county, west county, and north county. Guess I still have a bit to learn .

Speaking of the East side... another fun activity for a 4 year old during this time of year is Eckert's Family Fun Farm in Millstadt. Applepicking, hayrides, pig races, slides, junglegyms, pony rides, kettle corn, the whole bit. A 4 year old's dream and fun for all ages!!!

CLICK BELOW:

Eckert’s Millstadt farm is home to the Family Fun Farm, Pig Races, Kettle Corn, the Pumpkin Cannon, Haunted Hayrides and fruit orchards - Eckert’s Country Store and Farms

I forgive you....but you didn't think Belleville, Fairview Heights, Edwardsville, O'Fallon, Collinsville, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc were considered suburbs because they are on the other side of the river???

Eh, didn't really think about them as part of the "metro". But to be honest, I don't realy sit and think about these things nor have I really been to any of those places. Thought they were more considered "Southern Illinois" - the term that many people like to throw around. No big deal to me. If these are part of the STL metro, then hey whatever, that's cool.
