Empire Brewfest is tomorrow night. Unfortunately I always miss it due to it being the same weekend as Finger Lakes Wine Fest. Hopefully one of these years I can make it.

Also, Brew at the Zoo is coming up on 8/5 - Rosamond Gifford Zoo

Just attended "Flicks on the Crick" last night for the first time and saw Iron Man 2. The screen is hung on the side wall of Sound Garden and folks set up their own folding chairs in the parking lot adjacent to the building. They were using a Blu-ray player and digital projector onto a screen that was about 7 to 8 feet in height and about15 feet in width. Brightness and contrast in all but the most poorly lit scenes of the film was very good, sharpness/resolution was unreal and they had a terrific sound system. My buddy met me there with a few bags of popped microwave popcorn and I brought a small cooler with water and soda. It's great fun and runs every Wednesday night all summer long.

What a great idea!! I think I'll have to try to catch one of these before summer is out. My Mom will be visiting for a week at the end of August and I definitely think this is something she would like!

I think it is fitting that there is a post about Redneck Games followed by an event that has the word Crick in it.
