In terms of a city neighborhood, Berkeley Park comes to mind due to its proximity to SU, the nearby hospitals and the Westcott neighborhood and Crouse-Marshall business districts: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkel...toric_District

Street view: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0330...8192?entry=ttu

An elementary school in the neighborhood: https://www.facebook.com/edsmithpto

To illustrate proximity, here is some walking distance information to the JMA Wireless Dome/SU: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu

Crouse Hospital: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu

VA Hospital: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu

A restaurant on Westcott Street: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu

A restaurant on Marshall Street: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu

A home for sale just out side of the neighborhood: https://www.realtor.com/realestatean...8?from=srp-map

A nearby city park, Barry Park: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Berk...!3e2?entry=ttu (if that)

I don't know if I mentioned this in this thread, but another hidden aspect that people may not know about is that the Lyncourt SD, which only goes from Pre K-8th grade, allows for its students to attend either Solvay or East Syracuse Minoa: https://www.lyncourtschool.org/
https://www.lyncourtschool.org/distr...cfm?pageid=310
https://data.nysed.gov/profile.php?instid=800000040916
https://data.nysed.gov/enrollment.ph...d=800000040916 (known for its big Italian population, it has become more diverse steadily the last 15 years or so.)

A street view of the Court Street business district in the community/district: https://www.google.com/maps/@43.0835...8192?entry=ttu

I mention this because both of those high schools participate in a scholarship program with Onondaga Community College. meaning, if you can get into this small district just north of Syracuse, the high school options allow you your child to have a scholarship to the local community college. https://www.sunyocc.edu/news/esm-and...antage-program

Other school districts that participate in the OCC advantage are Jordan-Elbridge, Onondaga Central and Lafayette: https://www.sunyocc.edu/occadvantage

This is in the far SW corner of the city going towards/up Onondaga Hill: https://www.facebook.com/reel/286584...40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

I knew people that would take those steps to/from work at Van Duyn Home & Hospital on Onondaga Hill.
