Oh, just so I have a rough idea, how much is a single family (married couple, no kids) averaged around?
It's actually pretty diverse, household-wise... right in the village itself, there's a pretty even spread of families- couples with and without children, young and older single people and older people (single and couples) who have been here for decades. I can think of 6 childless/childfree couples, off the top of my head, who we *personally* know that live within 2-3 blocks. It's definitely not a "when are you looking to start a family, eh?" kind of neighborhood, if that's your concern. In the developments, that *does* seem to be more of a theme. Really though, the village is more of its own oasis of diversity, especially as suburbs go.
We're also starting to get pretty excited about the upcoming changes to the village... paving the main roadway with brick and making it even more of a walkable community, as far as entertainment and aesthetics go.

That's pretty exciting and I think it will add a lot to the town. Are you referring to the road that goes past the duck pond? I always liked Manlius but the only problem I had with it seemed to be how busy that roadway got and it really seemed to take away from the beauty of the town. Are they planning on do anything to reduce traffic flow on that road?
