Same as it ever was, NO. During the recession more people were leaving Florida than moving to Florida.

I can tell you this much, since I moved to Tampa in 2008, there has been a steady increase in traffic, population density, etc. No question about it. I am talking specifically about Tampa only.

Anyone thinking of leaving Florida or moving to Florida should read above article; it has some good anecdotes/quotes from people who've done it, one way or the other, and what their results were.

And it explains to all the haters why people move here: quality of life and cost of living.
