I can't believe that they are squandering the relatively good name of Sweet Bay to make more Winn Dixies. Really dumb decision.
I don't get it either...It would be like Food Lion buying Publix and changing all their names to Food Lion!

The Winn Dix in Hudson is always dead and the prices are the highest of any other food stores. I will stick with Publix.

There is the reason why Sweetbay closed so many stores and why Win Dixie is going to purches this chain - because they are not doing so good. Most sweetbays I am stopping by are always vacant and Win Dixie smell bad, so I prefer Publix

Are you for real? Are you going to drive to the only location of Trade Joe's in Tampa, getting through horrible parking (if they will be opening where whey were planning), shop in overcrowded store (all of them in FL are overcrowded? What are you planning to buy there whatever you was buying at Win Dixie before?

It's true that most Sweetbay's are empty most of the time...it was just convenient sometimes to stop at one of them on our way home rather than pass home and go to Publix...We too shop at Publix 90% of the time but still...Sweetbay just needed new management to get them up to par customer service wise. But to be bought by Winn Dixie is just wrong...Winn Dixie itself needs to go away, or be bought by Whole Foods!

Same here. There is a decent Sweetbay close to my home with my bank branch nearby, and it was always easier to stop in there for some of my items if going to the bank. They also had a few things cheaper (or different) from Publix that I liked to buy. I am disappointed about this change. Winn Dixie is absolutely abhorrent - every one I have been in has been dirty, disheveled and OVERPRICED! Ugh....

I saw an ad that said that Wal-Mart will match any of publix bogos. Wonder how much that will hurt publix

Not at the Walmarts in our area. They're always packed with customers. You have an agenda against Walmart, but please save the mistruths to yourself. And how do you see Walmart honoring other ads is "paying people"?
