Excellent!

Just another case showing how you can't always take the doom & gloom "opinion" as actual facts.

Congrats Prius. I had to find a new job in Tampa after being laid off in April of 2012. Found a new gig in about a month and started at the end of May. I also doubled my pay and advanced my career. After being with my previous company for almost 9 years. Hope you like your new gig. Although my pay is better, I liked my old job better.

I'm glad to hear it worked out for you here in Tampa Bay.

Jobless rate in our area is over 8. Getting better, but still hundreds of thousands of people are struggling. Happy for your well deserved new employment, but lets not sugar-coat our economic situation here in the area. It still sucks for many families who have been and continue to struggle while looking for work.

Thx much!

No sugar coat.

I "think" it's a little better than some claim. (Subjective)

It is heading in the right direction. (Factual)

Let's hope it continues.

Congrats Prius!

While the pay $on higher levels, the job market is very similar across the country. However on entry level jobs, the situation and pay is much worse.

Why pay someone $12-15 per hour when you can pay a retiree $8 to do the same job? It's the entry level that's hurting.

For sure, I am not saying we are all the way back....by any stretch of the imagination.

I would think your assertion on the lower paying jobs would most likely be possible. It seems to make sense.

Prius, If this is real, if you truly got a job, and one that pays as much as "back home" and not just another cheerleader thread, than congrats! I'm happy for you and hope it lasts for you.
