Dallas won the game 34-21. It was Sunday, September 13, 2009. It was a 1 pm game on FOX. I even remember that we had a quick, but refreshing pop-up shower at the very beginning of the third quarter. Amazingly, while it was pouring at the footbridge in the background, it was either doing nothing, or sprinkling at my seat!

Go right ahead and save it if you want to. The billboard was along Dale Mabry Boulevard at the time. Under the billboard, you might see a wee bit of a shopping plaza that included a SweetBay Supermarket (I went there for a couple of lotto tickets and a cheap poncho, since umbrellas weren't allowed in the stadium). This was the ad on the other side of the Selmon Billboard:

Miami and Houston were preseason home opponents that year. The New England Patriots logo was missing since that game was a Bucs "home" game played in London.

To date it's still the only time I've ever been in Tampa proper. My only other Florida visits were up at Orlando International Airport (MCO), to either stop or change planes with Southwest Airlines. I haven't been into downtown Orlando itself. However, since the airport is within their city limits, I count it on my list of major cities visited.

YIKES!! That shot of the lightning bolt is both beautiful and very scary at the exact same time!

I never even touched a real palm tree until I saw this one by our hotel parking lot in 2009:

I failed to mention that I'm a road geek, hence the pictures of these signs. Here in Connecticut, we don't even sign a road out in the field above 372!

Funny...barring a blackout, won't most Bucs homes games air on WTVT-TV (FOX) channel 13?

This game was aired on WTVT-TV locally that day, since visiting Dallas brought out many locals, not rooting for the home town team. That was the FOX booth above the Bright House ad. We didn't get this game in Hartford/New Haven that day.
