So here we are, in the middle of a government shutdown, with many folks out of work, furloughed, etc. Facilities closed, more suffering in the middle of a bad economy. Gee, what a GREAT time to agitate for immigration reform, right? Not only that, let's shut down Florida Ave and annoy the bejabbers out of the locals. Way to go! You can't fix stupid.

Hundreds rally in downtown Tampa for immigration reform

Well, even though the National Mall is "closed" due to the shutdown, it's ok to have an immigration rally there too.

But, veterans are denied access to the various war memorials and in some cases are arrested.

This country sickens me, for the most part, anymore.

They were walking along 301 today, too...a group of 100 or so. Pretty dangerous, actually.

Yep, meeeeeeeee tooooooooo!

But take heart, in Russia, the locals finally had it and protested/rioted when one of the migrants in Moscow stabbed a local to death. The police responded by arresting 1500 migrants! Never thought I'd see the day I'd look on Russia with approval for something. But that day has arrived. Sad.

Come now, you have to admit it's not a good time to hold a rally for immigration reform in Tampa and block streets. In addition to being dumb, it's rude to the locals and in VERY poor taste.

That may be true, but there are ways to go about it. Now, if they'd held a rally in support of Tampa Bay vets or something during the shutdown, something like "Immigrants in Support of Tampa Bay Vets", that would be a different matter. But throwing a hissy and blocking Tampa's downtown streets is not a way to build support for their cause.

I think the tittle is well fitting for the content of the post.
