A few days ago we went to one of the places at Wiregrass Mall, to have a drink and it was very quiet.

We were wondering if everyone was having parties to get done with the beer, wine, food that was bought to survive Dorian

But on a serious note...when we saw all the grocery stores shelf's being empty when it comes to water, beer, wine and lots of food, and no Hurricane has come here and hopefully will stay away, what are you all doing with the food and drinks?

Are there charities to collect food and drinks for the Bahamas that is caught with this disaster of a Hurricane that wouldn't move?

That's a great idea ans similar to what we did when we lived in Florida. At the beginning of each hurricane season we bought the requisite canned goods and bottled water and then at the end of the season donated it to food pantries and repurchased at the beginning of the next season. We try to avoid canned goods in our regular meals and really had them for the prep, so they could expire otherwise - this way they were still good and would go to a good cause.

If the food isn't perishable then save it until the end of hurricane season. Remember, it ain't over until it's over.

The month-long supply of Campbell's Chunky will replace my normally-scheduled food budget.

If you sincerely want to make a difference, the Red Cross is the best way to donate. https://www.redcross.org/donate/donation.html/

Save your non-perishables for those hurricanes/storms out in the Atlantic lining up for the upcoming weeks.
