Wasn't Henry Flagler a Northerner? And who was it brought Disney? What about Henry Ford in Fr. Meyer's? Florida's economic existence and its success as a state has always relied on out of state investors or tourists. Always. As early as the turn of the 20th century, wealthy northerners used Florida as a winter residence. If not for them, there would be no Florida. And we in Louisiana do not consider Florida southern at all. Floridians don't seem to have the social graces necessary for a southern reputation.

LOL! Don't expect me to applaud that corporate conglomerate in a Rat suit. Disney's biggest admirer in this area tends to be...itself. It certainly has not been the boon to the state their self-congratulatory PR would lead you to believe.

There would be considerably more Florida, in fact, had it not been used as the nation's own Ponzi scheme for lo these many years.

Ah. Well now, I guess I've been properly slapped, haven't I? <raises delicate hand to forehead>

No, I'm sorry, Karen, we must bow to the self-appointed Queen Arbiter of Southernness and start practicing our Joisey accents or something. We have been disenrolled.

LOL! Thank you. Guess it'd better be something foofy with an umbrella, because I'm pretty sure Angerdux has had my sweet tea license revoked.

Why does anything matter? Because we have concerns and we post on this website to have those concerns addressed.
