For any Florida transplants, the temperature at 5am is 81 degrees, with 81% humidity, feels like 90 degrees. Nobody misses that, I'm sure.

Oy, the heat! I just spent two days putting up a cypress ceiling on my porch, all 250 feet of it. I bet I lost 10 pounds. It's going to look nice though when its finished. Sweat equity!

It comes pretty close to that around here at this time of year. I think it was about 75 degrees at 5 a.m. It is now 76 degrees with 85 percent humidity.

The heat index is expected to be 100 degrees today.

Of course, we only put up with it for a few weeks. I'm from Florida, I know that heat is endless, it seems.

It is just as hot and humid these past few weeks here as I recall it being in FL.

You mean like the second you walk out the door at 5am, it is like a sauna? No air movement?

I rarely complain about the heat, but today, I was whining...

Yep. I leave for work at 5 a.m. It felt just like southwest Florida yesterday morning.

For example, at 4 a.m. today it is 75 degrees here with 88 percent humidity. It is 79 degrees with 82 percent humidity in Fort Myers.

I drove by the bank at 6:45 p.m., last night, and it said 100 degrees. On Wednesday, the heat index is expected to be 105 and on Thursday and Friday it is expected to be 110!

HOWEVER, this will not last, whereas Florida heat goes on forever...
