It wouldn't hurt to have a little upscale retail in there, though.

Are there atleast people in the residences?

Interesting video.

I agree. I remember when Victory Park first started out, the biggest complaints we (me and my friends) would be parking was expensive or non existant and everything else was too expensive, drinks, food, etc. We pretty much always ended up in Uptown and eventually "forgot" about VP.

For a city that needs to densify, that's a good thing...a very good thing. Encourage people to walk.

You know. When I lived in DC, when me and all my friends went out into the night, the best way to travel was by train. Didn't have to worry about designated drivers, shotguns, or how many people could fit in a car. With VP, you now have VP station and once that area builds up, I will guarantee that will be a hot spot for Dallas. I say this. Dallas has an underrated bar scene. Build more bars as well as retail. Would be a vibrant area.

Ah, the ol' Catch-22. DART won't start running late trains until there's enough foot traffic from bars at the stops.

But the bars won't catch on until there's enough foot traffic from DART riders.

Ack.

I know I'd use it. The question is, would there be enough other people using them too? I'd hope so.

id say enough people would use it to run maybe a single 3 car SLVR set up and run only one going north on each line and one going south on each line to justify it
