Bingo, we have a winner

Luckenbach dwindled to a population of 3 and Albert went from a high of 25 in 2000 to a handful of people.

Luckenbach and Albert was named after Albert Luckenbach the post master.

Your turn

well you had me there for a minute because at first I thought you were talking about Oil.

For water it would probably have to be Waco.

In Case I am Correct, the Next Questions is:
How many Counties did Texas Originally have?

the state of texas is divided into 254 counties, more than any other u.s. State. Texas was originally divided into municipalities, a unit of local government under spanish and mexican rule. When the republic of texas gained its independence in 1836, there were 23 municipalities, which became the original texas counties.

Next question:

Where is the oldest tree in Texas, how old is it and what is it called?

Be careful, there is some popular misinformation out there about this question.

I will be logging off for the evening, if you think you have the right answer and can document it, go ahead and ask the next question.

CapnR?

No offense, but these hints of yours threw me TOTALLY off base. Thanks for NOTHING, my friend! (j/k).

I was originally going to guess that magnolia tree near Tyler.

Hopewell, Texas and the largest Magnolia tree in Texas.

My next guess was going to be that Live Oak somewhere in South Texas.

Hey, remember, to toot my own horn, I ain't looking stuff up...I am going from memory and absorbed Texas history, by gawd! LOL

A cypress though? Hmmmm...that would place in it deep East Texas....right?
