At least he saved himself some more embarrassment.

Now he can come home and not do his job here

A victory for the other 49 states.

We still have to live with him.

we dont, HAVE to, but unfortunately we will. We ( well not you and me personally) voted him in after all.

We had a more respectable shot with Kay, but we went and picked Perry

I live in WI and we're in the process of recalling the moron governor who somehow got elected here.

The performance Perry put on while campaigning has to be embarrassing as hell for most people in TX. It was really really pathetic, and a complete waste of lots of taxpayer dollars.

On a more serious note, I think he bumbled and stumbled his way through his presidential bid so badly that he weakened his chances in 2014 considerably.

Perry has been embarrassing us since 2000 yet he keeps being reelected. I think he thought himself invincible after he was reelected in 2010. He probably thought he could win anything. Maybe he will do us a favor and try to be Queen of England next

You would hope so. But he continues to get re-elected.

Now maybe the rumors, created by gays & liberals of him being gay will finally die.

Liberals couldn't attack him any other way so they made up a lie he was gay & sounded off he only created minimum wage jobs...well...even if that was only half truth a job is a job right? At least Texas CREATED jobs.

I commend our governor for knowing when to throw in the towel & come back to the Great State of Texas where he belongs.

I'd also venture to say governors like Arnold, who was Republican in name only, embarrassed their wacko state more than Perry did Texas with what he did, but when its a Republican from Texas oh dear how dare him being so supportive of states rights & right to work.

The only thing I disagreed with Perry on was illegal immigration. Everything else he was spot on.

He embarrassed himself so badly the Republicans wanted a constitutional amendment to allow foreign-born presidential candidates.

It would be difficult to list all the constitutional amendments that crowd has come up with in the last twenty years. !!!
