Hey guys,
Here are some pics I took a long time ago from mid 90s to early 2000s. Sorry for the small sizes. The subjects shown in most of the pictures are from the Texas/Mexico border region of the Rio Grande Valley near the small town of ROMA and all the way to BROWNSVILLE.

In the 1950s, Marlon Brando and Hollywood came to these border towns and made a film titled VIVA ZAPATA!. At the time, the towns still used dirt roads, horses for transportation, etc. It wasn't unti, I believe, the late 70s when ROMA (one of the towns) got its streets paved.

Great pictures. Don't apologize for the size of the pictures. They loaded quickly and easily.

Thanks.

rstrstx,
Yea, that's one town I never made it to...it's always a bit too far once you've traveled almost a whole day to get to Roma and Zapata. There's always one last town that time forgot the further out you go. Truly, I don't know what other town is so isolated as San Ygnacio.

These shots are fantastic. My favorite is the sunset view in the plain. And anything with palm trees makes any pic so much better.
