My Texas mapbook says it's 814 miles from Beaumont to El Paso. You know your own driving (and ability to stay awake) - what do you think?

You're looking at maybe a 12 to 14 hour trip. I've gone from Las Cruces, NM to Barstow, CA through Flagstaff in one day, but I don't know if I'd do it again.

Sure! A friend of mine who is 64 drives from Atlanta to Central Texas in one day and all my himself. It can be done. He takes his time, and it takes about 17 hours.

Yep, it's possible although not very fun. I have driven from Waco all the way to Rochester MN a few times straight through and all by myself(1079 miles). It sucked but NoDose and coffee made it possible

No. It's not safe for yourself and other people on the road to push it like that. If you need to be in El Paso in one day, fly. Otherwise, break it up.

I went from SE Houston to Anthony (exit 0) in 1 day, 13 hrs. 800 miles on the nose. Dealt with a traffic jam in SA. Next day, Anthony to San Diego, 12 hrs. No coffee/drugs other than my usual 24 oz morning soda. It can be done, and it can be fun & interesting if you have the mindset. Make sure to stop every 3-4 hrs and stretch!

We've done it several times. But like el borracho says, just start really early like nearly 5am.
