I found a few more shots from a few years ago - it was a great bluebonnet year, and as I was making my way north, I happenened upon the most interesting storm I've ever seen.

The rock house and bluebonnets are right on the west side of 281, about a mile or two north of Marble Falls.

The storm pics were further north, between Lampasas and Hico.

We've got great pics here, don't we? I did a thing on page 2 in case you haven't checked it out (I admit, I almost cried as I wrote it). It might help soothe you as you enjoy our fellow Texans' photos.

Keep coming back -- if this thing goes real long, I'll have more musings for you. We've all got great stories and thoughts. We'll make more memories right here.

I'll admit - I cried (almost ). I have some shots of the Guadalupe that I can upload, even though they are closer to Gruene than to 281. Let me know if you'd like me to add them.

If any of you others have pics, bring them on. Try to keep them Highway 281-specific, please. But if you've got them, let's see them!
