the left will put more regulations on businesses, raise the min wage, allow more and more low earner illegals come here driving wages even lower and attack 2nd amendment.

do you think the left will make your life better?
I think a lot of folks aren't really enchanted with what the left wants, but TX Republicans have also done some stuff that is highly questionable, like the Israel requirement (how is that constitutional?) and inserting Christian / religious stuff into places it doesn't belong ("In God We Trust" on law enforcement vehicles?). They've even had major missteps on voter fraud, like when they tried to purge the voter rolls of mostly eligible voters - people want to safeguard the vote but that seemed like utter incompetence, at the highest levels of state government. Plus some really sketchy stuff like the recent contact tracing contract that seem like corruption. Allow enough of that kind of stuff to happen, people get frustrated and start to rethink, and look for a change, even if they're not naturally predisposed to the ideology of the other party. (This phenomenon can occur regardless of which party is in power.)

Your GOP government is also allowing TEA to hijack money the schools should have after the two CoVid financial relief bills were passed
Now only are the schools not getting monies the districts should but TEA is NOT going to fund the last 120 days of school—when class were help online vs in physical plants because the TEA head (Abbott’s appointee) claims that school was dismissed....
So patently untrue but that is the GOP for you

So every parent and every tax payer (which should include about 99% of Texans one way or another) should be P/O’d at what the TEA is doing to screw their kids—and them...
But is anyone making a big stink —
Only teachers and educators—-and not many of them because it is summer and they aren’t unionized
States w/teachers’ unions would NEVER try this bs

Yea. No. Anyone espousing mandatory buybacks.................and saying, "hell yes we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47" is anti-second amendment.

He wasn't against handguns for self-defense. Assault rifles, different story!

Despite the GOP tooting the "Pro-Life" horn (with the blessing of the American hierarchy of the Catholic Church and the Evangelicals), they are the Culture of Death party despite the anti-Abortion smokescreen.

The AR and AK in semi-automatic are not assault rifles*.Also you need to think through that culture of death nonsense, your claim is embarrassingly naive as numerically proven every year. Think about it.

https://www.britannica.com/technology/assault-rifle

*No service member would choose to go into battle with either in semi-auto. There are ~15,000,000 ARs in private hands in The US. Statistically all rifles combined account for a very small percentage of US gun crime. Most years more people are killed during fist fights than with all rifle types combined.

You can be for some guns but not be for all guns. The second amendment mentions a well-regulated militia being the purpose for allowing gun ownership to not be abridged. Most gun owners I know aren't in any sort of militia, well regulated or otherwise.

Illegals...It's actually the right that supports illegals more than the left. they publicly state the opposite but look at what is happening. The cheap labor is needed. the leaders of Texas AT ANY TIME could have made it that much harder to hire illegals within the state borders but then what would happen to the cheap construction labor, or cheap farming labor, etc. I've been on big construction sites in both Red and Blue states..and guess which one had more illegals on the project and guess which ones had more Americans.

Regulations on Business- I'm not for constraining the capitalistic model but I'm for restrictions making sure we get quality. Are you saying you don't mind eating fake food? breathing in polluted air? living or working in building with no restrictions to protect you in the event of an emergency? I could go on and on...we aren't the wild west..restrictions actually help our quality of life.

The left actually has made peoples lives better in terms of many things. But so has the right but it is the constant push-pull that keeps us left of center and then back to right-of center.
