The only small-mid size city I'll give credit to for an actual skyline is Midland.

Height is one of the main issues when talking about the quality of a skyline.
If you look at the title of the thread, you'll see why our cities were brought up. You tried to bash Lubbock even though you didn't know what it's downtown looks like to make Waco look better. Now you're trying to distance yourself by asking ridiculous questions because I disagreed with you.

I've been to Lubbock plenty of times with my dad, and Lubbock's skyline is nothing to be impressed by. I just prefer Waco skyline over it. Aren't we entitled to an opinion here??? Yet you take it as bashing.

Why all the fuss?
Lubbock, Waco, Tyler, & Beaumont all have decent skylines for cities their size.
If I had to rank them though it would look something like this...
1. Tyler - impressive height & mix of new/old architecture in a city of 100,000
2. Waco, Beaumont (tie) - lots of very interesting art deco style old buildings
3. Lubbock - too bland & dated looking with a few buildings between 300-150 feet tall, just enough to call it a "skyline".

I never said Lubbock's skyline was impressive, did I? I've said that it has a bad skyline myself. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion, but you were only mentioning Lubbock in order to make Lubbock look bad and make Waco look good. That is the definition of bashing. I wasn't defending because I think Lubbock has good skyline. It was because your comments were snide. I guess I just let it get to me.

What would you say about Corpus Christi? Too large to be "small-mid size?"

For those of you mentioning Waco and our skylines "height", I can think of several cities our size or larger that don't even have a skyline.....Laredo, Killeen, etc.
This link on Skyscraper page doesnt even have half the buildings in Waco.
Waco - SkyscraperPage.com
Wells Fargo Tower (downtown)
Texas Life Building
Hillcrest Medical Tower
Synergy Bank
Hillcrest Hospital (Herring Avenue location)
Wells Fargo Tower (Wooded Acres location)
Central Tower (Bosque @ Wooded Acres)
Lake Air Tower (Condos)
Clifton Robertson Tower
American Plaza
Preatorium Building
Liberty Place
