I lived in Texas all my life and I don't have a Texan accent. I worked at a couple of call centers, and people say I sound more like from California or Florida....?

I think almost all accents are interesting. I've lived here all my life (well, not yet I haven't!), and I've been asked several times where I'm from, since I don't have much of an accent. I sound more Midwestern than anything, or so they say. Accents don't make you stupid, but what you say might.

Probably Flordian. Californians sound kind of like airheads (no offense) However, you grew up in Texas and I'd assume your accent is more southern than western.

I was raised in Waco and people in Waco say I sound like I'm not from Texas, but people from Dallas say I sound like them.

I think because my accent was influenced by my dad who is from Virginia; he talks with a DC accent. Even my roomate from DC said I sound similar to DC people; but I think I'm country.
