According to Citizens for Ethics Rick Perry is one of America's Worst Governors.

http://http://www.citizensforethics.org/worstgovernors (broken link)

Gov. Haley Barbour (R-MS)
Gov. Donald Carcieri (R-RI)
Gov. Jim Gibbons (R-NV)
Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA)
Gov. David Paterson (D-NY)
Gov. Sonny Perdue (R-GA)
Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX)
Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM)
Gov. Mike Rounds (R-SD)
Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC)
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-CA)

Makes sense with the toll road fiasco, the educational ranking, etc.

Your thoughts on the matter.

You'll get no argument from me. The longer he sits in that office, the slimier he gets.

My thoughts are there is clearly an agenda here. No coincidence with all the Rs and not so many Ds...

I could care about the others, but, yes, I cannot wait until Rick Perry is no longer governor of Texas. And I'm NOT a Republican or a Democrat (I'm a member of the A Pox On Both Your Parties party), just a loyal Texan who wants the best for my state (that would be my agenda).

Yeah, he sucks. He seems to be alot more popular in the smaller towns than the big cities.

My "town" has grown to about 2300 people in the last five years. Before, it was about 800. Can't get a LOT smaller than that!

Exactly. No one can argue about Patterson in NY. Richardson....maybe.

Does anyone else wonder why he had no problem defeating Kay Bailey Hutchison?

Paterson's personal agenda is what got him in trouble--not necessarily his political stance and how it affected the governance of the state which is why most of the others are there--

and some of these guys have taken recent steps that put them beyound the pale because they are electioneering and appealing to the lowest common denomenators in voting ranks--and that is pretty low these days...i.e. Sanford...
