When travelling abroad I'm usually too busy to take pictures, so here are some photos from "nearby" northwestern French countryside and coastline.
Sorry for the saturated colours. Apparently I hit a wrong button and changed the settings at the beginning of my little trip. There are lots of photos, a lot are hidden under spoiler tags.
Some photos taken during my flight from London to Vancouver BC last month as we passed over Labrador, either northern Quebec or Ontario, and the Rockies.
And now for something completely original, photos of the Grand Canyon, From the north rim. IMG_2305 by kanhawk, on Flickr IMG_2307 by kanhawk, on Flickr IMG_2308 by kanhawk, on Flickr
On my last day in Slovenia I went for a long walk into the countryside.
The road took me past a farm.
A hayrack, used to dry hay and other fodder. A very common sight in Slovenia. (Tip for souvenir collectors - you can buy small wooden replicas of hayracks at the Brnik airport shop)
Lonely walking as I saw very few cars and no other walkers.
At the top of a hill I found the small village of Slavkov Trojika and saw Medvode, where I was staying, away in the distance. The view of the mountains in the distance was breathtaking.
The Succursal Church of the Holy Spirit.
Passed through a tiny hamlet where I saw this wonderful building. Seemed to be disused; possibly part-barn, part-house?
Barn/stables?
This was a wonderful walk in the winter sunshine, a lovely way to spend my last afternoon in Slovenia. Happy Christmas, everyone!
Some photos of Sydney and one of Cairns from a few months ago:
