"I hear the people are nice."
That is really far from the stereotype! But I've never been there.

This is so cool! I love to travel and wish I did it more often but here's my modest list:
Brasil
Japan
China
Taiwan
Mexico
Canada
Hong Kong
Macau
Although I consider Mexico and Canada as copouts if you are American and visited the "border" (*hand raised*). I added HK and Macau as "countries" b'c if you've ever been to the region, they feel so different than if you are in China!
I hope to add to that list. One day foma, one day!

I believe the last I counted, it was 27. At the end of next week, I'm heading to New Zealand for the first time for a much needed two week vacation so soon it will be 28. Yeah!

Let's see:
Australia (lived there)
Papua New Guinea (lived there)
Indonesia (lived there)
the Philippines (lived there)
USA (live here)
Visited:
Tahiti
New Zealand
I might qualify in the group for those who have lived in other countries, but came up short on just vacationing. I probably need to get a life.

Canada (flew into Montreal, Quebec from Los Angeles, CA)
Mexico (flew into Guadalajara from Los Angeles, CA)
I needed a passport for both :P
And of course the US where I live. I've visited more states than countries. hehe
Next year I'll be making my first TransAtlantic flight to Munich, Germany...

Wow, I should have known better than to visit this site! Not exactly a world traveler. Only been to four:
I was born in West Germany, but we left before I was one year old.
I've been to three border towns in Mexico, and
spent 5 days in Montreal.
My favorite though was California. The capital, Disneyland, is extremely expensive but very exotic. The natives wear colorful clothing and have large, comical heads which look like animals (genetic mutations?). I saw one gentleman with a mouse shaped head walking around town surrounded by children. He must be royalty. Everything seemed to have his image on it.
