We were in Charleston at the end of May for a wedding. We stayed at Charleston Place Hotel.
Very nice hotel we enjoyed our stay very much.

Charleston Place is a great place to stay. We have stayed there several times. Around Christmas, the hotel is decorated lovely. Strolling around downtown is nice any time of year. Great restaurants are in the area depending on your personal tastes. If we want a less expensive hotel to stay at even the Holiday Inn in Historical District is nice. Another option is renting off of VRBO( vacation rentals by owner) for the weekend/week. Sometimes, it is cheaper than staying at a hotel. I noticed on there, some of the downtown rentals look neat.

You sure wont be bored in Charleston! Have fun.

Can't recommend a hotel cause the one I stayed in outside of town was near the airport. Noisy!

Go to Battery Park! Enjoy the view!

Check out all the beautiful Historic homes in the historic area near Battery Park.

Take a carriage tour or a walking tour. It's a nice way to learn interesting things about the city from a local guide.

Visit the Marketplace which sits in the middle of North and Soth Market Streets.

Visit one of the Plantations nearby. I went to Magnolia Garden & Plantation and enjoyed the tour.

See the USS Hunley

Default Charleston.ya'll

I went to Chazrleston last May,It was OK. There is a river cruise that we wanted to go on ( but it was on the other side of the river. So we missed it. This cruise takes you down the river to see Ft. Summter and some of the Plantion Houses It is only $15 pp and I think It was (ut-oh) a 3 hr tour. But don't worry the bost is not the SS Minnow. Go online to see what you want to do. As far as a hotel, try all the timeshares down there. That way you will have a condo instead of a room with two beds.
