Karr was such a strange figure. Claiming he was the killer when he was on the verge of being imprisoned in a third world jail. I had a problem believing someone so obsessed and in love (yuck ) with her would have actually killed her. He just always seemed crazy and delusional to me. I really didn't believe him when he "confessed". I'm surprised so many people bought his bs.
I do think, though, Karr was in touch with the real killer via email or through a secondary source. He knew things that weren't released to the public. Also, considering he was a pedophile that makes me think that the killer was a pedophile and possibly part of a ring/in touch with other pedophiles.

He could have been interested just because he was a pedophile, although it would still be possible that he could have been part of a ring or in touch with others.

I don't know if it was ever publicly revealed, but it was said by Boulder that he knew things that weren't released to the public.
He's a creepy person and I have no interest in researching him. I think, could be wrong, he never revealed who told him this info. I think he was contacting this person via internet cafes, because he (Karr) was being investigated for child porn. I wonder why they never tried to find the person he was in contact with.
On a side note, is he well remembered? I was talking to someone last year about delusional people and I brought him up. She was like who?! When I look at the Jonbent wiki, there's very little about him.
Back to the case, I'm very surprised and delighted it wasn't pinned on him. Here you have this loon who really thinks he did it and no one else (that public knows about) that evidence points, too. I wonder if it was integrity or they figured out pinning him for it would leave too many unanswered questions...

As a side note I wonder how much is really unknown by the public regarding evidence or the case? With all the books, interviews, documentaries, the numerous press leaks... it seems there's nothing new for the public to learn.

You're right, there is nothing new to learn about this case.
And I don't think it will ever be solved- which again lends credence to my theory- the Ramseys were involved in a pedophile ring. They covered for someone else to save their own arses. These rings go right to the top- don't be mislead by thinking they don't happen- they do and people in powerful places protect others involved to protect themselves.
Now that you mention he is now a she, at the time, I found it kinda creepy how much Karr resembled JonBenet.
I think at the time, people were saying he was trying to make himself look like JB. good try loser, but you never looked anything other than what you are- a creepy wierdo.
