I can't understand why she lied at the bail hearing. The money was donated as a defense fund, meaning the money should have been set aside for lawyer fees. They probably could have gotten reduced bond being honest.

I dont have a link, but i too read that. i dont recall the details, but it was something about covering court costs and MAYBE some part of legal fees. I was thinking it was about $200K, but could be way off.
I really don't think her divorcing him is a reflection on the case. I think she 100% was on his side. But sometimes a relationship can't withstand stress. A lot of times when parents lose a child they end up divorcing. Sad, but it happens.

Totally. Why he's speeding around and getting pulled over TWICE is silly, he should be laying low and trying to figure out a way to change his look, change his name, move out of the country or something...maybe his divorce will help him "get away".
