Unless you are a psychopath, killing someone, even if by accident or in self-defense, is going to ruin your life and that of your loved ones. In that respect, I'm not surprised at the impending divorce. However, Shellie (sp?) shouldn't have gone public to defame George, and George should have been keeping a low profile. I'm afraid one or both of them will be looking for a book deal or a "reality" show.
Why do people keep trying to defend this piece of garbage? Too bad Shellie or her father didn't "stand their ground" and remove this loser from the planet.
The least they could do is revoke his permit to carry. I think he looks like that fat sissy Lumpy Rutherford from the old Leave it to Beaver show.
George Zimmerman had a bodyguard in the truck with him. Even with his mighty gun he still needs a body guard. What a joke this guy is. But very lucky to get out of threats without charges. This won't be the last scrape he gets into.

I think the bigger pieces of garbage are people like you who turn tragedy into a spectator sport. Maybe instead of living vicariously through the complete and utter brain-liquifying **** that you see on CNN or FOX, you ought to pay attention to yourself and reserve your energy for more constructive outlets.
Totally. Why he's speeding around and getting pulled over TWICE is silly, he should be laying low and trying to figure out a way to change his look, change his name, move out of the country or something...maybe his divorce will help him "get away".
Although I agree with you, a person needs money to do all of these things. Also, you can't just move to another country without going through its immigration process.
Now his wife changed her story about the gun, but that's very common in domestic dispute cases. Maybe she's afraid of him. This isn't his first domestic dispute charge either. Also, admitting he threatened her with a gun will hurt his chances of winning a civil lawsuit.
This man has a history of violent, irrational behavior, but people keep defending him. During an interview Shellie said he's abusive and has a bad temper and that the acquittal made him feel invincible. The trial is over, and I believe most people just want him to go away, but he keeps popping up on the news. I just hope he doesn't kill anyone else. I've been saying all along that this man has a personality disorder.
