Looks like Atlanta has had it's first one in 2016 (that I know of).

Will the city of Chicago ever improve to lets say less than 400 murders every year? They have 10 already...

Indianapolis has 2 currently. New Mayoral administration coming in with a fresh approach, which is welcomed after the record breaking year we just had with regard to the number of homicides in the city. Hopefully we see some improvements as the new policing strategies are implemented, but 2 in the first 6 days is not a great start.

Wow and that's during a pretty cold period. Murders almost always amplify during the summer and early fall months. Is Chicago already setting the stage for a bad year? To be fair though, Atlanta was 87% above last year's murders up to date in mid February last year, but managed to drop that to a 0% increase by the end of 2015 with a very non-violent August(only 1 murder).

Go ask all the gun toting teenagers on the south and west sides that are running around their streets shooting each other for no apparent reason while the rest of their community and their parents just say someone else needs to fix this.
