We are in the very early stages of a potential move to Tucson. I have questions and hope that some of you might offer advice.

My husband would be working on the south side of Tucson and would like to have a commute that is 40 minutes or less.

Our budget for a home is up to $500,000, but would like to stay around 300K-400K if possible.

We would like to be in a family friendly subdivision or planned community where our nine year old son can play outside with neighborhood kids.

Schools are important for both of our children, but are of special concern when it comes to our daughter. She is autistic and intellectually disabled. Finding a school that has a good special ed program is our number one priority.

Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you. I love what I'm seeing so far in my reading about Tucson.

I would suggest you look at homes in Sahuarita (not just Rancho) and Continental/Green Valley/ Madera Reserve. I don't know anything about having autistic children, but the following couple of links will get you started on information for her....

Tucson Alliance For Autism - Autism Spectrum, Autism Diagnosis, Autism Support

Autism Society of Southern Arizona
