These are not mine, they are from around the Internet. I always like looking at picture threads.

And here's a really, really old picture of Tulsa. Don't know what year, but it must've been in the 30s or 40s.

This one's not old, just made to look so. It's of historic Cain's ballroom.

Great. You've officially made me miss my old stomping grounds.

IMHO, Tulsa has one of the most beautiful-if underused-downtowns anywhere.

Cains! So many memories there...

Tulsa, the midwest's best kept secret.

You now I just love the pics!! It's actually my favorite parts of the forum.

Tulsa really is a beautiful city, but maybe it's better if not everyone knows that. SHHHH.

I like the pics forums too Jammie. And I agree with you completely jeff; Tulsa is a well-kept secret. I don't live there anymore either, so I miss it as well.

Honeybee, have you moved out to BA yet? Last I heard your husband and daughter had already moved out and you're getting ready to. If that's true, I hope you can join them soon!

That's Central Park. I've not been there so I'm not quite sure if that's its name, but I'm almost sure. There are a lot of lofts going up in that area as well. Check out the websites for the village at central park.

The Village Home Page

GTR Newspapers:Tulsa’s Pearl Revitalizes the Inner City

An interesting fact about the dwellings at Central Park:

Every home has a FEMA-approved Safe Room: a 3/16" thick steel ‘room’, bolted to the concrete slab and designed to withstand winds of 250mph.

Designed as a traditional, urban neighborhood - for walkability and convenience. Restaurants, shops and entertainment lie within walking distance and a few minutes' drive. The Village at Central Park is Oklahoma's first 'new urbanist' neighborhood, and a winner of The Sierra Club's 'Earthcare Award'.

I have to admit Tulsa is one of the most admirable places I've ever known. I am from Duluth, MN. and I have been to Tulsa 4 times the past year and a half to visit a close friend of mine. My dream is to someday live there. The weather is perfect, the people are nicer and the job market looks good. Oh, and the mexican food is out of this world!!!
